The firm of Connelly & Co. can trace its` origins back to the earlier part of the 20^th Century. Mr Clifford Connelly on leaving the army after the war joined an established practice in the then Lloyds Bank Chambers and through various retirements the practice became known as C. Connelly, Chartered Accountant, moving to our current offices in Permanent House when the building was newly built in 1962. Originally the firm only occupied a small floor area within the building, but we have now expanded to occupy approaching half of the total building on two floors.

It was in 1981 that Mr Clifford Connelly entered into partnership with his senior qualified staff and the firm became known as Connelly & Co. and has continued to prosper and expand into the practice we see today. From those early days of pens, papers and typewriters we have progressed to operating the most sophisticated computer system available with all the up to date software that the accounting profession can offer.

Our partners have been with the firm for all their working lives, which emphasises the longstanding strength and stability of the practice.

Our current senior partner, Geoffrey Roebuck joined the practice in 1964. He qualified with the firm and was one of the senior staff to join Mr Clifford Connelly in partnership back in 1981.

David Greenwood joined the firm in 1972, successfully qualifying and eventually becoming a partner in 1987.

Andrew McCarthy was the last of the current partners; he joined the firm in 1988, to successfully qualify and become a partner in 1998.

We are ably supported firstly by our senior management team and then by our support staff in accounts, taxation and secretarial. All of this leading to a group who are committed to providing you as clients a full professional and friendly service with complete support and dedication.

We have expanded our operations into the Calder Valley and have a small but thriving branch office in Todmorden.
